The B(ryce)log

Hello All!

On August 17, 2004 Bryce will be admitted toSanDiego Children's Hospital to begin the Bone  Marrow Transplant Process. This will be an extended stay of about 6 weeks.  I underline the about because we haven't been given a time estimate.  Really it is all up to Bryce and how quickly he recovers, but we have spent the last few months learning what a strong boy Bryce is.

The transplant process begins on August 18th, or day -8.  Bryce will undergo chemotherapy on days -8 through -2, with a “day of rest” on day -1.  The actual transplant will occur on August 26 or day 0.  Each day following the transplant will be day 1, day 2 and so on. I consider this most appropriate as Bone Marrow Transplant is considered a rebirth of sorts.

As you can see, we have added a “blog” to chrisandanna.com.  This stands for some computer term, but I think it should mean “Bryce Log” because essentially thats what it will be.  At any time you can go to chrisandanna.com, click on Blog and read the days update for Bryce.  I can't always promise it will be interesting to read but it will be here when you are.  This will save everyone from waiting for phone calls which I know can be frustrating.  :)

Please notice that there are links to various Bone Marrow Transplant sites.  If you are interested you can click on a link and be directed to FAQs pertaining to Bone Marrow Transplant.  Also, you will be able to post responses to my updates.  Please take time to do this if you are inclined since I will be looking forward to contacts from the outside world!

Once again, as with every update, we just want to say thank you, thank you for all the support and well wishes we have received.  As with everything in life we have to take the bad with the good, but I am continually amazed and grateful for the “good” we have seen in all the people who love and care for Bryce and our family.

We are blessed, thank you.

Chris & Anna Jones

Remember in this time the words of Theodore Roosevelt that "far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat." In my soul, from my heart, wishing the best,

Mark 11:22-24: “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them".

Heavenly Father, we (everyone who reads this and agrees)speak to the illness in Bryce's body and command it to leave, in Jesus name. We believe that what we say shall come to pass, therefore we shall have what we say. We will not speak the circumstances, but will only speak the victory because "we walk by faith, not by sight". We thank you for supernatural wisdom for the doctors and care takers involved and we thank you, in advance for the "children's bread" (healing) being manifested in Bryce's body.

We, in Wausau, WI are standing in faith for Bryce's complete recovery, so that God's plan for his life can go forward in all the glory and majesty that God intended. To God be the Glory!

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Bryce and your whole family. The prayer chain at our church is also doing their part to pray for Bryce, as well as those caring for him. Thank you for taking a few moments to send us updates, and please let us know if we can do anything for you. Bryce seems to be a fighter, and we fully expect him to pull through this. Give our best to James and Tanner, too. This has to be rough on them.

    Many hugs and prayers,
Tracy, Lee, Kevin & Kylie Schwartz and the whole Delta Baseball League Jr. Boys Storm team
